How To Pre-Register With eAYSO

Thanks to Lakefront AYSO - Region 418 for the eAYSO information.

What is eAYSO? eAYSO Is a convenient online service that enables you to pre-register AYSO players and volunteers using any computer with a Web browser (such as Internet Explorer), a printer and Internet access. WAIT LIST APPLICANTS: Don't register online - you need to submit your child's name to the waiting list.

What do I do? Follow these steps:

  1. First, read our registration page.
  2. Find a computer with a printer, a Web browser, and Internet access. If you don't have one at home or work, try a Chicago Public Library branch (computer access free but advance signup required). Computer giving you problems? See technical notes below. (MAC USERS NOTE: We recommend using Firefox when accessing eAYSO.)
  3. Go to www.eayso.org. We've simplified the input process but just in case we've provided detailed instructions below for first-time users and previous users. You may want to print out the instructions for reference.
  4. Register yourself (the child's parent or guardian). If you've used eAYSO before, just update your old info.
  5. Indicate your volunteer preference. See our volunteer page for a list of jobs. RETURNING VOLUNTEERS PLEASE NOTE: Even if you are volunteering for the same job as before, you must go into the "volunteer" area, click on your name, then page through all the screens by clicking "next" at the bottom of each page. Update your personal info as needed and add missing info if requested - in particular make sure we have a current e-mail address for you. If you don't do all this and simply print your old (i.e., last year's) volunteer application, you won't be officially registered as a volunteer for this year. We know this is a pain and are discussing it with national AYSO, but for now we're stuck with it. Thanks for your cooperation.
  6. Register players. You must complete one online application for each child you wish to register. For returning players, just update old information.
  7. Register volunteers. A volunteer application must be submitted for everyone in your household who plans to volunteer.
  8. Print three (3) copies of each player form and two (2) copies of the volunteer application on your computer printer.
  9. Bring the printed forms IN PERSON to registration along with the annual fee, your ID, and other items listed on our registration page. Your children are NOT REGISTERED until you do this. If someone else in your household wishes to be an AYSO volunteer, they must bring in their form themselves OR you may bring the form in for them provided you have their driver's license or state photo ID to confirm their signature (photocopies OK).

Detailed eAYSO instructions. If you are a first-time eAYSO user:

  1. Go to www.eayso.org. You'll see a "Welcome" screen - click on the "First time" button.
  2. You'll be presented with some informational screens. After reading, scroll down and click on the "next" button at the bottom of each page.
  3. You'll reach a page letting you choose whether to register as a parent, volunteer, or youth volunteer. Click on the button saying "AYSO parents."
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions and provide the information requested. You'll reach a screen asking if you want to create a password. Although a password is optional, you will need one to modify your information in the future. We recommend that you create a password and store it in a safe place. Your username will be your e-mail address.
  5. Continue to follow the online instructions. You'll reach a screen entitled "Region Selection." We are Region 1206. Enter 1206 in the box, then scroll to the bottom of the page and click "next."
  6. Continue following the instructions. You'll reach a parent/guardian information screen asking for your name, address, etc. Although information for a second parent is optional, we urge you to provide it since this gives us more ways to contact your family if need be. When done, scroll down and click the "next" button.
  7. You'll reach a screen entitled "Volunteer Jobs." We're an all-volunteer organization with jobs to suit any schedule - see our volunteer page for more information. Use the mouse to place a check mark in the volunteer area of interest to you. NOTE: We've had reports that the software sometimes doesn't display the list of volunteer jobs. If so, please check off the desired area manually when you print the volunteer form (see below).
  8. You'll reach a screen asking for the first player's information. Players must be entered one at a time. You can request that siblings be placed on the same team if they are in the same age division. When done, scroll down and click on the "submit" button.
  9. You'll reach a screen enabling you to enter another player. Once all players have been entered, you must print the registration forms one at a time on your computer printer. Print three (3) copies of each player form and two (2) copies of the volunteer form. To avoid delays, we urge that you print forms in advance if possible. (Having problems with printing? See technical notes below.) NOTE: Please check the volunteer form to see that your volunteer choice is indicated. If not, write an "X" in the appropriate box manually before submitting the form.
  10. After printing, click the "close window" button on the form screen, then the "next" button on the "sign up another player" screen. You'll see a "congratulations, you're done" screen.
  11. Bring the forms and other required materials to our registration site to complete the registration process - go to our registration page for a list of required materials plus registration times and locations. Please note that merely submitting information online does NOT register your child(ren) - you must bring all materials to our registration sites IN PERSON to have your child(ren) registered.

If you are a previous eAYSO user:

  1. Go to www.eayso.org and click on "log in." Note that your e-mail address is now your username. If you have forgotten your password or the e-mail address you used last time, click on "forgot password?" or "forgot e-mail?" for further instructions. If all else fails you can enter all information from scratch - go back to the "welcome" screen and click on "first time," then follow the instructions for "first-time eAYSO user" above.
  2. Once you have successfully logged in, you'll reach another "welcome" screen with your name. Click on "Player Form" or "myeAYSO."
  3. You'll reach a screen entitled "Region Selection." We are Region 1206. Enter 1206 in the box, then scroll to the bottom of the page and click "next."
  4. Continue following the online instructions. You'll reach a parent/guardian information screen showing the name, address, etc., you previously submitted. Update as needed, then scroll to the bottom of the page and click "next."
  5. You'll reach a screen entitled "Volunteer Jobs." Having had previous experience with AYSO, you know how important volunteers are to keep our program running - see our volunteer page for more information. Please select a volunteer job. SEE NOTE HIGHLIGHTED IN YELLOW ABOVE - Even if you are volunteering for the same job as before, you must click through all the screens to register as a volunteer for this year. Don't forget to update your e-mail address and other personal info if necessary.
  6. You'll reach a screen listing players you previously registered with AYSO. Click on each player you wish to register now and follow the onscreen instructions. Update the player's information as needed. Continue for all players you wish to re-register.
  7. To enter a new player, click on the "add another player" button. Follow the onscreen instructions and enter the player's information. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click "submit" when done.
  8. When all players have been entered, click on the "print forms" button. Follow the instructions and print forms one at a time, including all player forms AND the volunteer form for yourself. To avoid delays, however, we urge that you print forms in advance if possible. (Having problems with printing? See technical notes below.)
  9. After printing, click the "close window" button on the form screen, then the "next" button on the "sign up another player" screen. You'll see a "congratulations, you're done" screen.
  10. Bring the forms and other required materials to our registration site to complete the registration process - go to our registration page for a list of required materials plus registration times and locations. Please note that merely submitting information online does NOT register your child(ren) - you must bring all materials to registration IN PERSON to have your child(ren) registered.
