- We are in desperate need of referees, adult and youth. If you can help out, please contact Deanna Montgomery or
send Deanna an email. We will provide the necessary training.
- Reminder: DO NOT park on the south side of Jarlath Ave. This side of the street is residential permitted
parking and you will be ticketed if you park there. Please respect our neighbors around the park.
Please Volunteer. New volunteers are desperately needed!!
We are an all volunteer organization. Rogers Park AYSO exists due to the dedication of
parent volunteers. Every coach, board member and referee you see on the fields and in our organization are
also parents. Without the adequate number of volunteers, Rogers Park AYSO will be unable to continue.
Currently, we are in need of board members in key positions to oversee the running of Rogers Park AYSO.
Follow this link to see which positions are open along with a description of the board
position.
In addition to board members, we always have a standing need for coaches, referees and division managers.
AYSO provides free training to all prospective coaches and referees so knowledge of the game is not
a requirement. All that is needed is enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
If you can volunteer your time in any capacity, please contact us.
Send us an email (rc@rpayso.org)
or leave us a voicemail at (312-409-2855). |

It Doesn't Happen By MagicSetting up the fields is a
lot of work. The more people involved the faster it goes. Please come early if your child is playing the first game of the
day and help out with equipment. Thanks to those who already do this.

Soccer Balls
Soccer balls come in various sizes. This is a number 5, the size used
by the older teams. Check the rules to determine
the correct ball size for your child.
Children should bring a ball to practice.
Soccer Shoes
Soccer
shoes are useful to avoid slipping on the grass. The U6 players can play
in tennis shoes but the older players should wear soccer shoes for safety
purposes. No cleats are allowed on the toes.

Shin Guards
Shin Guards are the major protective equipment used in soccer. Coaches
cannot permit children to practice or play without shin guards. Socks
must be worn over shin guards.
